YBhg. Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim telah dilahirkan pada 3 Mac 1959. Beliau berkelulusan Ijazah Sarjana dalam bidang Perniagaan
Pentadbiran dan minor dalam Matematik pada tahun 1978 di California State University, Chico. Beliau kemudian melanjutkan pengajian beliau ke peringkat Sarjana dalam Perniagaan Pentadbiran (MBA) dari Universiti Negeri Portland, Oregon, pada tahun 1980.
